VR Quest is easy to set up!

You can download the Home Edition installer for VR Quest right now by clicking the button below, but you will need a Home Edition Key to activate the software once it has been installed.

Once you have downloaded the installer above, copy it to your Desktop folder and right-click and choose Extract. Once extracted, run the file "VR Quest 3 Installer.exe". Once installation is complete, double click the desktop icon that appears and enter the Home Edition Key you will have obtained to license the software.

Once you have downloaded the 'VR Quest 3 Oculus Quest Player.apk' APK file, you can use it to install the VR Quest Player onto your Oculus Quest headset. To install an APK, you can either copy it to your device and run the APK installer from the device, or use software such as 'SideQuest' to drag the APK across which will install the Player automatically. Note that this player is for native support and does not use the Oculus Link system.

Once you have downloaded the 'VR Quest 3 PICO Player.apk' APK file, you can use it to install the VR Quest Player onto your PICO G2 4K headset. To install an APK, you can copy it to your device by connecting a USB cable from your PC to the PICO, and copying this APK to the "Internal shared storage/Download" folder via Windows Explorer. You can then run the APK installer from the device by selecting File Manager, then the APK tab on the right, and finally selecting the APK to install. Note that this player is for native support and does not use the PICO Link system. You can also use the 'SideQuest' software to simplify the installation process.

VR Quest – system requirements

The approximate size of the download is around 6GB so make sure you leave plenty of time for the download to complete.

The minimum specification to run the VR Quest software is a PC or laptop with Windows 10 with all the updates, an Intel Core i5 4590 (fourth generation), quad core or better, 8GB of RAM and 20GB of free disk space. Your PC also requires Bluetooth 4.0.

To use the Mixed Reality Head mounted display and controller you will need an NVIDIA GTX 960/965M/1050 or AMD RX 460 or greater graphics card.

You will not need a graphics card to run the VR Quest software - ONLY to use the Mixed Reality Headset

VR Quest is compatible with Windows Mixed Reality and Oculus Quest* standalone Headsets

* As a standalone player Oculus Quest uses the Android operating system which will result in less graphical fidelity

VR Quest Home Edition License

The Home Edition Key is for an individual license and cannot be used in schools, summer camps or other institutions or organizations.
